2026–2027 prices are the same throughout the season. Prices below arethe total per private group, not per person; all prices are in Japanese yen.

Students who need rental equipment must rent from the Sapporo Kokusai rental centre. If you have your own equipment, contact us before booking.

Available times are subject to the booking system and confirmation. If arriving by bus, contact us to confirm a 9:30 or 10:00 start for your 5+1 lesson based on your arrival time. Allow time for equipment rental and changing, and check your return bus schedule.

Meet in the indoor lobby through the Sapporo Kokusai entrance shown in the photo. We will confirm the meeting time and arrangements before your lesson. Allow time for equipment rental and changing.
Important equipment rental requirement
As a registered ski school at Sapporo Kokusai, Snoway Academy must follow resort rules. Students who need rental equipmentmust rent from the Sapporo Kokusai rental centre. Please do not rent lesson equipment from an outside shop in advance.

From booking to the slopes
- Choose your lesson:Confirm ski or snowboard, date, group size and duration. Tell us each learner’s age, ability and language preference.
- Confirm your arrangements:Confirm your meeting time, transport and equipment rental with us. Check bus arrival and return times in advance.
- Meet in the lobby:Arrive as agreed and allow time for rental at the resort rental centre and changing.
- Learn step by step:Beginners start with equipment handling, moving on flat ground and stopping safely. Learners with some experience work on turns and speed control. Full-day lessons include a lunch break, with practice adapted to energy levels and progress.

Before You Book
Please review the lesson inclusions, insurance, class arrangements and cancellation policy before booking.
01｜Lesson Fees
Lesson fees include private instruction and Japanese consumption tax. Lift passes, equipment, ski clothing, transport, meals, travel insurance and personal expenses are not included.
Lunch, breaks and equipment rental assistance are included within the booked lesson time.
02｜Insurance and Safety
Snoway Academy holds third-party liability insurance with coverage up to ¥200 million. This does not replace personal travel or ski insurance. We recommend insurance that covers skiing or snowboarding. Guests with injuries, pregnancy, heart conditions or other health concerns should seek medical advice before participating.
03｜Lesson Groups and Timing
Guests sharing a lesson should have similar ability levels. When adults, children or mixed abilities learn together, the lesson will follow the least experienced guest for safety. Each lesson covers either skiing or snowboarding. Separate instructors are required to learn both activities at the same time. Equipment rental assistance, breaks and meals are included within the booked lesson time.
04｜Cancellation, Changes and Refunds
If you need to cancel a confirmed lesson, please contact Snoway Academy as early as possible.
CANCELLATION POLICY
31 days or more before the lesson: Full refund, less a 2% administration and payment processing fee
15–30 days before: 80% refund
8–14 days before: 50% refund
2–7 days before: 20% refund
Within one day, same-day cancellation or no-show: No refund
DATE CHANGES
Please contact us as early as possible. Changes depend on instructor availability, resort operations and remaining lesson spaces. Changes are not guaranteed.
Resort Closure and Force Majeure
Skiing and snowboarding are affected by weather, snow and resort operations. Lessons normally continue while the resort remains open and the lesson can safely proceed.
If a guest cancels due to snowfall, strong winds, poor visibility, partial lift closures or personal concerns, the standard cancellation and refund policy will apply.
Only when the resort officially announces a full closure on the lesson date and the lesson cannot proceed will Snoway Academy contact the guest to arrange rescheduling, a change of resort where available, lesson credit or a full refund.
Travel Disruption
If a guest cannot reach the resort because of a cancelled flight or suspended public transport, but the resort remains open and the lesson can proceed, the standard cancellation and refund policy will apply.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing times depend on the card provider or payment platform.

Yes. Snoway Academy specialises in beginners, early-intermediate learners and families, adapting practice to age, stamina and ability. First-timers begin with equipment handling, flat-ground movement, getting up after a fall and stopping safely, rather than immediately tackling long runs. Families choosing the same discipline with similar abilities can ask about learning together. Please discuss grouping before booking if ages, abilities or ski/snowboard choices differ.
2. Can I book an English-speaking instructor?
Yes. Lessons are available in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Language requests are subject to instructor availability, so early booking is recommended during peak periods.
3. Can I choose Ski or Snowboard?
Yes. Select Ski or Snowboard when booking and provide each guest’s age and experience level. Please contact us first if guests in the same group wish to learn different activities.
4. How much do Sapporo Kokusai ski lessons cost?
For 2026–2027, private lessons for 1–2 people cost ¥49,000 for 3 hours, ¥72,000 for 5+1 hours and ¥82,000 for 6+1 hours. See the price table for larger groups. Fees cover instruction, excluding lift passes, equipment/clothing rental, transport and meals. Students needing rentals must use the Sapporo Kokusai rental centre, not an outside shop. 5. Should I choose Sapporo Teine or Sapporo Kokusai?
SAPPORO TEINE: offers convenient access from the city and varied terrain. Sapporo Kokusai offers reliable snow and spacious beginner runs. Choose according to transport, travel dates and learning needs.
6. How do I get to Sapporo Kokusai from central Sapporo?
You can travel by resort bus or car. Before booking, check arrival and departure times against your lesson, allowing time for rental, changing and walking. Do not assume you can start immediately after the bus arrives. Meet in the indoor lobby through the Sapporo Kokusai entrance shown on this page; we will confirm the time in advance. 7. How do I book a private lesson?

8. Should a first-time skier choose a 3-hour or full-day lesson?
A 3-hour lesson suits a first taste of skiing or snowboarding or a tighter itinerary. A full day allows more time to get used to equipment, practise and consolidate skills after lunch. Consider stamina, children’s ages and transport when choosing. Progress varies; we do not promise mastery in one day. The 5+1 and 6+1 options include 5 or 6 hours of instruction plus a 1-hour lunch break. Check this page and the booking system for lesson times.
