  • Please read all registration instructions, terms and conditions carefully before making a reservation.
  • By making payment, you and your accompanying guests acknowledge that you have read and accepted all of the following terms and conditions, and agree to be bound by them.
  • The representative making the payment is responsible for informing all other members of the booking group (including children and their parents or guardians) about all relevant terms, conditions, and general information, and ensuring that all other members agree to be bound by these terms.

Risks associated with snow sports

  • When participating in lessons with Snoway Academy, clients, parents, or guardians acknowledge that snow sports involve inherent risks and can potentially lead to injury or death.
  • Snoway Academy and its instructors assume no liability whatsoever for any injury, death, or accident that may occur before, during, or after any course.
  • All participants must have valid travel insurance that covers accidents or injuries that may occur while participating in snow sports.
  • Snoway Academy will not be liable for any loss of or damage to equipment or personal belongings before, during, or after the course, including any costs for replacement equipment or lost course time.
  • Pregnant students, or those with serious illnesses or special psychological/medical conditions, must inform Snoway Academy in advance. For those wishing to attend classes, a doctor's certificate of medical clearance is required.
  • Due to the inherent risks of skiing, we regret that we cannot accept participants over 65 years of age for our courses. However, if you have prior skiing experience, please contact our customer service team for an assessment; we may be able to accommodate you.

Reservation

  • You can make a reservation through the Snoway Academy website using the online booking form or via email.
  • Reservations are confirmed only after full payment is received.
  • Any booking made with false information is invalid. If payment is not received by the due date specified in the booking confirmation, your reservation will be canceled.
  • You can request a specific instructor by paying an additional fee, but this is subject to availability, the instructor's health status, and visa situation. If the requested instructor is unable to teach the class, Snoway Academy will inform you as soon as possible, refund the additional fee, and arrange for a suitable alternative instructor.

Lessons

  • The course will be offered for either snowboarding or skiing; instructors reserve the right to refuse entry to the class for participants who are not enrolled in the specific course program.
  • The course price does not include ski equipment rental or lift ticket fees; customers must arrange these items themselves.
  • You cannot change the type of lesson during the course of the day (for example, switching from dual-board to single-board lessons).
  • The full-day course includes a one-hour lunch break, and participants can also take breaks during the course. Lunch is not included in the course fee.
  • Please arrive at the designated meeting point at least 15 minutes before the lesson starts, fully equipped with your ski gear, wearing appropriate ski clothing and protective gear, and with your lift pass ready, so that we can start the lesson on time.
  • The course schedule will not be delayed or rescheduled due to late arrival or other reasons. Participants are required to arrive at the designated location with their equipment before the scheduled start time.
  • Participants are strongly advised to wear appropriate protective gear, especially a helmet, to reduce the risk of accidents. Instructors reserve the right to refuse participation if they deem the lack of a helmet to pose a significant safety risk.
  • The location where the instructor will conduct the course depends on:
      1. Safety considerations related to weather, snow conditions, and crowd size.
      2. The students' physical fitness and skill level
      3. Student's request

Child Policy

  • For children participating in lessons, the minimum age is 6 years for snowboard lessons and 4 years for ski lessons; all participants must be toilet trained.
  • For children aged 6-8 (snowboard) or 4-8 (ski), Snoway Academy recommends private lessons. If there are any children under 6 years old participating in the lesson, please inform Snoway Academy in advance.
  • Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring that their children have a valid ski lift pass purchased before the start of the lesson.
  • Parents or guardians of any child must provide contact information for an emergency contact person before the child's class begins. Failure to do so may result in the parents or guardians not being notified in case of an emergency.
  • Parents or guardians of any child must inform Snoway Academy of any dietary or safety concerns. When participating in full-day programs that include a lunch break, parents or guardians agree that their child may be exposed to potential allergens in restaurants, and Snoway Academy will not be held responsible for any food allergies.
  • Lunch costs are not included in the course fee; parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring that their children have enough money to pay for lunch.

Booking changes

  • Any changes to a booking, including time, date, group composition, language of instruction, location, student skill level, or number of participants, must be requested at least 7 days prior to the scheduled date, subject to the instructor's availability. Requests for changes within 7 days of the scheduled date will not be accepted.
  • Any changes to the course program must be notified to Snoway Academy at least 24 hours before the start of the course, subject to the availability of the instructor.
  • Snoway Academy reserves the right to refuse any changes to appointments.
  • For courses within the same program, transfer to another participant is permitted, provided that a request is submitted via email and approved by Snoway Academy at least 24 hours before the course start date.

Booking cancellation

    • For cancellations due to adverse weather conditions or other operational issues beyond Snoway Academy's control (such as ski lift malfunctions), no refunds will be given. Refunds for affected classes will only be issued if the local ski resort officially announces the closure of the entire resort on its website.
    • To cancel an appointment, please send an email confirmation, and you will need to wait for a reply from Snoway Academy to confirm that the cancellation is valid.
    • Snoway Academy will refund a portion of the course fee depending on when the course is canceled.
      1. If you request to cancel your course reservation more than 31 days before the scheduled class date, a full refund will be issued.
      2. If you request to cancel your class reservation 15-30 days before the scheduled class date, you will receive an 80% refund.
      3. If you request to cancel your class reservation 8-14 days before the scheduled class date, we will refund 50% of the payment.
      4. If you request to cancel your class reservation 2-7 days before the scheduled class date, we will refund 20% of the payment.

However, if you need to cancel due to sudden illness or an injury unrelated to the school, and you provide a medical certificate, we will deduct a processing fee of ¥20,000 and refund the remaining course fee. No refund will be given without a valid medical certificate.
    • All bank fees and charges related to refunds must be borne by the student.
