Where do we meet for Teine lessons?
We usually meet at Olympia Center (Olympia Pierkey Center)After booking, Snoway Academy creates a LINE / WhatsApp groupto confirm your meeting point, lesson time and preparation, and make communication easier.

Why do beginner lessons usually take place in Olympia?
Based on our teaching experience, Olympia’s terrain suits progressive practice for first-timers and developing beginners, and the area has a magic carpet. Your instructor chooses practice areas according to ability, energy, snow conditions and available facilities, progressing from flat-ground movement and safe stopping to turning and speed control. Magic carpet and lift use depend on progress and facility opening.
From booking to the slopes: your Teine lesson
01 | Choose your private lesson
Select Teine, Ski or Snowboard, your date, group size and lesson length online. Similar ability levels are recommended. Families with significant differences in age or ability can contact us to discuss grouping.
02 | Pre-lesson group communication
After booking, we create a LINE or WhatsApp group to confirm ability levels, the meeting point and lesson arrangements. Let us know any transport or timing needs in advance so we can discuss feasible arrangements.
03 | Meet at Olympia Center
Meet your instructor at the location confirmed in your group, organise your equipment and discuss the day’s goals. Allow time for rentals and changing before the lesson.
04 | Progress at your level
First-timers usually begin with equipment, moving on flat snow, getting up and safe stopping. Guests with experience work on turning, posture and speed control. The instructor adapts the pace to your progress.
05 | Lunch and afternoon practice
Both full-day formats include a 1-hour lunch break. Afternoon practice follows your energy and morning progress, consolidating skills. Before finishing, your instructor reviews key points and practice suggestions.
Which lesson times can I choose?
5 hours of instruction + 1-hour lunch break:Start at 09:00, 09:30 or 10:00; finish at 15:00, 15:30 or 16:00 respectively.
6 hours of instruction + 1-hour lunch break:Fixed start at 09:00; finish at 16:00.
3-hour lessons:09:00–12:00 or 13:00–16:00, subject to booking availability and confirmation.
Please discuss timing needs in your group in advance. The 6+1 lesson must still start at 09:00. Rental assistance, rest and meals count within the booked lesson period.

BOOKING INFORMATION
Teine Private Lessons
Before You Book
Please review the lesson inclusions, insurance, class arrangements and cancellation policy before booking.
01｜Lesson Fees
Lesson fees include private instruction and Japanese consumption tax. Lift passes, equipment, ski clothing, transport, meals, travel insurance and personal expenses are not included.
Lunch, breaks and equipment rental assistance are included within the booked lesson time.
02｜Insurance and Safety
Snoway Academy holds third-party liability insurance with coverage up to ¥200 million. This does not replace personal travel or ski insurance. We recommend insurance that covers skiing or snowboarding. Guests with injuries, pregnancy, heart conditions or other health concerns should seek medical advice before participating.
03｜Lesson Groups and Timing
Guests sharing a lesson should have similar ability levels. When adults, children or mixed abilities learn together, the lesson will follow the least experienced guest for safety. Each lesson covers either skiing or snowboarding. Separate instructors are required to learn both activities at the same time. Equipment rental assistance, breaks and meals are included within the booked lesson time.
04｜Cancellation, Changes and Refunds
If you need to cancel a confirmed lesson, please contact Snoway Academy as early as possible.
CANCELLATION POLICY
31 days or more before the lesson: Full refund, less a 2% administration and payment processing fee
15–30 days before: 80% refund
8–14 days before: 50% refund
2–7 days before: 20% refund
Within one day, same-day cancellation or no-show: No refund
DATE CHANGES
Please contact us as early as possible. Changes depend on instructor availability, resort operations and remaining lesson spaces. Changes are not guaranteed.
Resort Closure and Force Majeure
Skiing and snowboarding are affected by weather, snow and resort operations. Lessons normally continue while the resort remains open and the lesson can safely proceed.
If a guest cancels due to snowfall, strong winds, poor visibility, partial lift closures or personal concerns, the standard cancellation and refund policy will apply.
Only when the resort officially announces a full closure on the lesson date and the lesson cannot proceed will Snoway Academy contact the guest to arrange rescheduling, a change of resort where available, lesson credit or a full refund.
Travel Disruption
If a guest cannot reach the resort because of a cancelled flight or suspended public transport, but the resort remains open and the lesson can proceed, the standard cancellation and refund policy will apply.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing times depend on the card provider or payment platform.

1. Are Sapporo Teine ski lessons suitable for beginners and children?
Yes. Olympia has beginner-friendly terrain and a magic carpet; use depends on facility opening and learning progress. Snoway Academy specialises in first-timers, developing beginners and family ski experiences. Your instructor adapts equipment familiarisation, moving on flat snow, getting up and safe stopping to your age, ability and energy. For a first lesson, consider 3 hours for a shorter introduction, or a full day for more time to adapt to equipment, practise and apply feedback. The 5-hour lesson plus 1-hour lunch break can start at 09:00, 09:30 or 10:00. The 6-hour lesson plus 1-hour lunch break always starts at 09:00. Progress varies, and we do not guarantee specific skills in one day.
2. Can I book an English-speaking instructor?
Yes. Lessons are available in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Language requests are subject to instructor availability, so early booking is recommended during peak periods.
3. Can I choose Ski or Snowboard?
You can choose Ski or Snowboard. Families wishing to learn together should provide each guest’s age, experience and preferred activity so we can advise on arrangements. Everyone in one lesson must use the same discipline, and similar ability levels are recommended. Ski and Snowboard cannot be taught together in the same lesson. If ages, stamina or ability levels differ significantly, please discuss separate groups with us. In a shared lesson, the instructor plans around the needs of the less experienced guests and adjusts practice for safety and energy levels.
4. How much do Sapporo Teine ski lessons cost?
For the 2026–2027 season, private lessons for 1–2 guests start at ¥49,000 for 3 hours, ¥72,000 for 5 hours plus a 1-hour lunch break, and ¥82,000 for 6 hours plus a 1-hour lunch break. Prices are per group, not per person. See the price table for your group size and lesson length. The fee covers private instruction only. Guest lift passes, equipment and clothing rental, transport, meals and personal insurance are not included. Any instructor assistance with rentals counts within the booked lesson time, so allow enough time for rentals and changing beforehand.
5. Should I choose Sapporo Teine or Sapporo Kokusai?
Sapporo Teine offers convenient access from the city and varied terrain. Sapporo KokusaiSapporo Kokusaioffers reliable snow and spacious beginner slopes. Choose according to transport, travel dates and learning needs.
6. Is Sapporo Teine easy to reach from central Sapporo?
You can choose transportation based on accommodation and course duration. Snoway Academy offers a “Sapporo Station Welcome Pick-up Service” that takes you from Sapporo Station to the Otani Olympic Area and back to Sapporo Station after class. You can choose this service when booking your course. For those traveling by themselves, you will usually meet at the Olympia Center; the bus stop is “Tenine Olympic Park Front,” not “Tenine Highland.” After booking, we will confirm the meeting time and location via a Line/WhatsApp group. Please check the schedule for the current season and reserve time for rental equipment, changing, and weather-related transportation delays.
