Conveniently accessible from Otaru and Sapporo
It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to drive from the city center of Otogaruto to the resort, and about 40 minutes from the city center of Sapporo. It is suitable for travelers staying in Otogaruto who want to schedule a half-day or full-day ski course in Asari River Hot Springs or Sapporo.

Skiing and hot springs: a complete Hokkaido winter experience
Chosuiro Onsen Ski Resort is located directly in Chosuiro Onsen Town in Otaru. After completing the skiing course, you can visit nearby Yugyo Onsen or stay at a onsen hotel, without having to travel long distances, allowing you to experience the powder snow and onsen of Hokkaido in the same day.

The Snoway Academy's Chino Chinese private ski lessons are suitable for first-time skiers, families with children, and beginners who want to improve their basic skills. The instructors will adjust the Ski/Snowboard teaching content based on age, level, and learning goals, and support Chinese, Cantonese, and English.

Chosui River Skiing Course
Before You Book
Before booking a private ski course at Asuri River, please first understand the course fee, included items, insurance and safety arrangements, the pickup time, and the cancellation and change policies.
01｜Lesson Fees
Lesson fees include private instruction and Japanese consumption tax. Lift passes, equipment, ski clothing, transport, meals, travel insurance and personal expenses are not included.
Lunch, breaks and equipment rental assistance are included within the booked lesson time.
02｜Insurance and Safety
Snoway Academy holds third-party liability insurance with coverage up to ¥200 million. This does not replace personal travel or ski insurance. We recommend insurance that covers skiing or snowboarding. Guests with injuries, pregnancy, heart conditions or other health concerns should seek medical advice before participating.
03｜Lesson Groups and Timing
Guests sharing a lesson should have similar ability levels. When adults, children or mixed abilities learn together, the lesson will follow the least experienced guest for safety. Each lesson covers either skiing or snowboarding. Separate instructors are required to learn both activities at the same time. Equipment rental assistance, breaks and meals are included within the booked lesson time.
04｜Cancellation, Changes and Refunds
If you need to cancel a confirmed lesson, please contact Snoway Academy as early as possible.
CANCELLATION POLICY
31 days or more before the lesson: 100% refund, less a 2% administration and payment processing fee
15–30 days before: 80% refund
8–14 days before: 50% refund
2–7 days before: 20% refund
Within one day, same-day cancellation or no-show: No refund
DATE CHANGES
Please contact us as early as possible. Changes depend on instructor availability, resort operations and remaining lesson spaces. Changes are not guaranteed.
Resort Closure and Force Majeure
If the course cannot be held due to the resort being closed completely, unexpected circumstances for the coach, natural disasters, or other force majeure factors, Snoway Academy will arrange to reschedule, replace the coach, replace the resort (if applicable), or refund according to the actual situation.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing times depend on the card provider or payment platform.

Suitable. The Asiri River Ski Resort has a beginner practice area and a magic carpet, making it convenient for beginners to practice moving on flat ground, falling down, safely stopping, and basic turns. Children's classes are arranged according to age, physical ability, and learning pace.
2. Can I book a Chinese or Cantonese-speaking instructor for skiing lessons?
Yes. Snoway Academy offers Chinese, Cantonese, and English ski instruction. When booking, you can choose the language you need. We will arrange for a Shirokawa ski instructor to meet your schedule.
3. Can I choose between Ski or Snowboard for the Chari River course?
Yes. When booking online, you can choose between a ski board or snowboard and fill in the age, level of skiing, and course requirements of each student. The same instructor and the same class will only teach one of the two activities.
4. How much does a private ski course on the Chari River cost?
Private lessons for 1 to 2 people for the 2026–2027 snow season, half-day 3 hours from ¥49,000, 5+1 hours from ¥72,000, and 6+1 hours from ¥82,000. The actual cost will be calculated based on the course duration and the number of participants. For details, please refer to the price list on this page.
5. Can I take a bath in a hot spring after completing the Chosui River skiing course?
Yes. Saririkawa Ski Resort is located in Saririkawa Onsen Town, Otaru. After completing the course, you can visit the nearby Yugyo Onsen, or stay at a hot spring inn. The spa fees are not included in the ski course. Please check the operating hours and usage arrangements of each facility before departure.
6. Is it convenient to travel from Otaru or Sapporo to the Asuri River Ski Resort?
It takes about 15 minutes to drive from the city center of Otaru, and about 40 minutes from the city center of Sapporo. You can also use public transportation to reach the Asari River hot spring area. The actual time may be affected by weather, road conditions, and traffic conditions; please allow plenty of time to reach the meeting point.
