Snoway Academy is officially authorized by Snow Cruise ONZE to provide private ski instruction for Ski and Snowboard. The courses are supported in Chinese, Cantonese and English, and are arranged according to the students’ age, level and learning goals, making it suitable for beginners, children and families who are new to skiing.

SNOW CRUISE ONZE
Snow Cruise Onze Introduction｜Transportation, Snow Routes, and Course Features
Snow Cruise ONZE is located in Shukancho, Otaru City, Hokkaido. It takes about 40 minutes from Sapporo and the city center to get there. The resort faces the Sea of Japan and features multiple beginner slopes and is open at night. It is an ideal choice for beginners, families, and travelers who want to flexibly arrange their schedule. Snoway Academy has completed ONZE's external group registration and provides private skiing lessons in accordance with the resort's regulations.

Convenient access from Sapporo and Otaru
It takes about 40 minutes by car from Sapporo or the city center to the resort, and about 10 minutes from the Chonhan Interchange. During the snow season, there is usually a free shuttle bus from JR Chonhan Station to the ski resort, but actual schedule is subject to change.Official information from ONZE.

Skiing while overlooking the Sea of Japan
The slopes face the Sea of Japan, and when the weather is clear, you can ski while enjoying the expansive sea views. After dusk, the scenery changes with the light, offering an ONZE-exclusive view of the sea and an unforgettable night skiing experience.

Beginner slopes and 6 degree beginner zones
The ski resort features multiple beginner-level slopes and a beginner practice area with slopes of about 6 degrees, making it easy for first-time skiers to progress gradually in their learning of ground handling, braking, and basic turns.

Snoway Academy offers private Chinese, Cantonese, and English Ski/Snowboard lessons. In addition to the daytime classes, you can also choose the ONZE night skiing course, which is flexible to fit your Hokkaido travel schedule.

Snoway Academy’s ONZE Chinese private ski lessons are suitable for first-time skiers, families with children, and beginners who want to improve their basic skills. Coaches will adjust the ski/snowboard instruction based on age, level, and learning goals, and support Chinese, Cantonese, and English.

2026–2027: The snow season courses are available all year round, with a single fee. The following are the costs of Onze ski/snowboard private courses; all prices are in Japanese yen.

Snow Cruise Onze
Before You Book
Before booking an ONZE private ski lesson, please first understand the course fee, included items, insurance and safety arrangements, the pickup time, and the cancellation and change policies.
01｜Lesson Fees
Lesson fees include private instruction and Japanese consumption tax. Lift passes, equipment, ski clothing, transport, meals, travel insurance and personal expenses are not included.
Lunch, breaks and equipment rental assistance are included within the booked lesson time.
02｜Insurance and Safety
Snoway Academy holds third-party liability insurance with coverage up to ¥200 million. This does not replace personal travel or ski insurance. We recommend insurance that covers skiing or snowboarding. Guests with injuries, pregnancy, heart conditions or other health concerns should seek medical advice before participating.
03｜Lesson Groups and Timing
Guests sharing a lesson should have similar ability levels. When adults, children or mixed abilities learn together, the lesson will follow the least experienced guest for safety. Each lesson covers either skiing or snowboarding. Separate instructors are required to learn both activities at the same time. Equipment rental assistance, breaks and meals are included within the booked lesson time.
04｜Cancellation, Changes and Refunds
If you need to cancel a confirmed lesson, please contact Snoway Academy as early as possible.
CANCELLATION POLICY
31 days or more before the lesson: 100% refund, less a 2% administration and payment processing fee
15–30 days before: 80% refund
8–14 days before: 50% refund
2–7 days before: 20% refund
Within one day, same-day cancellation or no-show: No refund
DATE CHANGES
Please contact us as early as possible. Changes depend on instructor availability, resort operations and remaining lesson spaces. Changes are not guaranteed.
Resort Closure and Force Majeure
If the course cannot be held due to the resort being closed completely, unexpected circumstances for the coach, natural disasters, or other force majeure factors, Snoway Academy will arrange to reschedule, replace the coach, replace the resort (if applicable), or refund according to the actual situation.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing times depend on the card provider or payment platform.

1. Is ONZE’s ski course suitable for beginners and children who are new to skiing?
Suitable. ONZE features beginner slopes with gentle slopes and a beginner practice area, making it convenient for students to start with equipment recognition, moving on level ground, getting up from a fall, and safe braking. Instructors will arrange the course content based on the child's age, physical strength, and learning pace.
2. Can I book an ONZE ski instructor who speaks Chinese or Cantonese?
Yes. Snoway Academy offers private Chinese, Cantonese, and English ski/snowboard lessons. When booking, please fill in the required language of instruction. We will arrange the appropriate instructor based on the booking information.
3. Can I choose to do ONZE courses with Ski or Snowboard?
Yes. When booking online, you can choose between a Ski board or a Snowboard board. Each class teaches only one of the two disciplines; just as students who want to learn different disciplines need to book separate classes and instructors.
4. How much do our private ski lessons cost?
Private lessons for 1–2 people in the 2026–2027 snow season, half-day sessions of 3 hours start at ¥49,000, 5+1 hours of 72,000 yen, and 6+1 hours of 82,000 yen. The actual cost is calculated based on the duration of the class and the number of participants. For details, please refer to the price list on this page.
5. How should I choose between the ONZE day course and the night skiing course?
The day course is suitable for first-time skiers, children, and those who want to schedule more complete practice time; the 2-hour night course is suitable for travelers who already have other plans during the day or who want to experience the ONZE light-up slopes and night views. Actual reservation times are based on the online reservation system.
6. Is it convenient to travel to ONZE from Sapporo or Otaru?
It takes about 40 minutes by car from Sapporo or the city center of Otaru. During the snow season, there is a free shuttle bus from JR Chonan Station to ONZE, but the schedule and arrangements may be adjusted due to the snow season.
