Is this camp for you?

Suitable for those who already know how to skate and want to take it a step further.

You don't need any previous experience with powder snow or forest skiing, but you do need:

  • It can smoothly and continuously turn at the red line, control the speed, and stop.
  • I hope it will be smoother and more fluid to slide, rather than just "just being able to slide".
  • Want to try different snow conditions and terrain to enjoy more fun on the snowboard.

This is an introductory training camp for mountain skiing; it is not a zero-beginner snowboard course.

Ride better. Explore more.

Over three days, gradually expand your gliding ability.

01 / FLOW

It slides more smoothly

Starting with posture, board control, turns, and speed control, adjust the skating rhythm. Combine with carving practice to make every run on the groomed slopes more stable and smooth.

02 / TERRAIN

Adapt to more terrains

Depending on the snow conditions and degree of difficulty, gradually explore powder snow, uneven terrain, and suitable steep slopes to practice handling the ups and downs, short turns, and choosing the right lines; once your ability and conditions are suitable, try skiing in designated forest areas.

03 / PLAY

Create more variations in your play

Interspersed with simple freestyle moves and terrain utilization based on level, this increases board control and sliding variations. You don't have to chase powder every time; you can still make progress and have fun on the groomed trails.

Daily schedules are adjusted based on the participants' performance, weather conditions, and snow conditions to ensure that training is tailored to actual needs.

Why Kiroro?

There are exciting challenges ahead.
There is also a gradual progression of space.

Kiroro offers more than just powder snow. Longfeng, Chari, Yui City, and the Central District offer a variety of options, from groomed trails to ungroomed areas and designated tree forests, allowing you to gradually progress your training across different terrains.

There is more than one way to play with the same mountain.

First, prepare the terrain by clearing the snow tracks and adjusting the speed of turns; then, based on performance, explore the undulating snow surface and learn to adapt to the terrain using different curves and speeds.

From following the trail to learning how to choose the right line

Observe the space ahead, the slope, and the snow surface to make an early decision on where to turn, so that the glide is more consistent and not rushed when faced with changes.

Overcoming obstacles and exploring more possibilities

Do you feel like your skating is stuck at the same level? Through targeted practice and feedback from your coach, identify the reasons for your limitations, improve your turning, board control, and terrain adaptability, and gradually break out of your familiar rhythm to challenge yourself even more.

The activity is limited to the open ski runs within the ski resort and the designated tree-lined areas approved by Kiroro, and does not involve backcountry outside the ski resort.

Questions answered

Frequently Asked Questions

If you haven't skied on powdery snow, can you still participate?

Yes. As long as you can smoothly and continuously turn, control your speed, and stop on the red line, you can start learning from the appropriate terrain. If you are unsure of the level before signing up, please provide a recent video of your skid for us to understand.

Will there be powdery snow or forest trails for three days?

The course is primarily focused on improving overall gliding ability, combining ground preparation exercises and exploration of suitable terrain. Powder and forest glides will be scheduled based on snow conditions, regional availability, and the performance of the participants; they will not be conducted on a daily basis.

Will you teach carving or freestyle?

Based on the level of the participants, we will incorporate skating drills and simple freestyle movements to improve board control, turning quality, and skating variations, allowing you to skate more smoothly and play more on different terrains.

Can I only attend one day?

The camp accepts only full three-day registrations so that coaches can continue to monitor your progress and organize your training and feedback in a systematic manner.

What do I need to bring with me?

Please bring your own suitable snowboard equipment, snow suit, gloves, goggles, and helmet, and purchase applicable snow passes. It is recommended that you arrange your own personal insurance covering skiing activities and rescue costs before departure.

Does the course include insurance?

The course only includes third-party liability insurance during class time; it is not equivalent to the participants’ individual ski insurance. Participants are advised to purchase their own insurance to cover ski activities and rescue costs.

If the weather or snow conditions are not ideal, what arrangements will be made?

We will adjust the route and training content based on actual conditions. If there is no new snow, some ski runs or wooded areas are closed, this does not constitute a reason for a refund; if the ski resort is closed and it is not possible to conduct the course, the relevant course fees will be refunded.

How do I get a refund if I cancel my registration?
