1. Is the Otaru ski course suitable for beginners who are new to skiing?
Suitable. Both Snow Cruise ONZE and Asari River Ski Resort have snow slopes suitable for beginners to practice on. Instructors will arrange the content based on the participants' age, level, and learning goals, starting with equipment recognition, moving on level ground, getting up from a fall, and safe braking to build confidence in skiing step by step.
2. Can I choose to have an Otaru ski instructor who speaks Chinese or Cantonese?
Yes. Snoway Academy’s private ski lessons in Otaru support Chinese, Cantonese, and English. When making a reservation, please fill in the preferred language of instruction. We will try to arrange suitable ski instructors based on the schedule of the instructor and the course schedule.
3. Can I choose between Ski or Snowboard for the Otaru Ski Course?
Yes. When booking online, you can choose to ski with a double board or snowboard, and fill in the age, skiing level, and course requirements of each student. The same instructor will only teach one of the activities in a single session. If you wish to choose different activities, please book separately or contact us first to confirm the schedule.
4. How should you choose between ONZE and Asari River Ski Resort?
Snow Cruise ONZE is located between Sapporo and Otaru, with convenient transportation. It offers spectacular views of Ishikari Bay and features night skiing. It is suitable for beginners and families who want to flexibly plan their trip. The Asuri River Ski Resort is quieter and more suitable for beginners and families with children. After skiing, you can also arrange trips to Asuri River Hot Springs and accommodation. You can choose the suitable ski resort based on the accommodation location, transportation method, and travel arrangements.
5. How to book a private ski course in Otaru?
Through the Snoway Academy online reservation platform, select Ski or Snowboard, ONZE or Asari River Ski Resort, the course date, class time, and number of participants, then fill out the student information and complete the online payment. After the system confirms it, a reservation email will be automatically sent.
